Th 1 Apr 1999 Velvet Lounge w/ SensorBand and ViVuVaVera

SensorBand were pretty amazing -- never seen anything like them. Their infrared rig
wouldn't fit on the Velvet's stage, so one of the guys was reduced to squatting by
an electronic box, smoking endless cigarettes and turning knobs. One of the other
gents had things the size of computer mice in his hands; I gather they sensed changes
in speed and direction in a gyroscopic kind of way. My favorite guy had bands up his
arms that I presume sensed changes in his personal electric field in a lie-detector like way;
while he was performing he often seemed to be miming some sort of complex mechanical
engineering activity.
